Currencies (2021)

CUC and CUP refer to the two type of currencies available in the Cuban territory. While the first is used by foreigners when entering the country, the latter refers to the national coin used by locals.

The following photographs analyze several spaces within Havana: those open to tourism and those strictly reserved for Cuban citizens, shaping a dichotomy between an apparent stable and fair facade, and the dark, faceless silhouettes of those who inhabit the regime.
